At the
Orleans County Fair
August 15-19
 An Historic Family Experience!
Our Nations heritage comes alive through the excitement of the Great American Frontier Show. The show demonstrates the old-fashioned value of our ancestors who founded our great country. With multiple shows and all day interactive displays the exhibit includes The Animals that Built America show: with draft horses, mighty oxen, Texas longhorns, donkey, buffalo, cowboys and the littlest and biggest horses, working together; Frontier Village with staff in period costumes interacting with patrons, an old time saloon with a hand carved bar where you can enjoy a cold root beer, soda, water, vegetable & fruit juice & more, live shoot-outs 2-3 times a day and oxen demonstrations; Frontier Kitchen: all day hands on demonstrations cooking over an open fire; Historic Mer-cantile Trading Post; Trick Riding on Horseback; Old West Theatre Dog & Pony Show: 3 shows per day in a vaudeville style show; Cowtown USA: This interactive museum exhibit contains an old time creamery where patrons participate in preparing a cow for milking, actual milking by hand or machine, and pasteurizing for a finished product. They show that agriculture has no barriers. Kids get hands-on experiences with the process of making butter and ice cream using historic tools and machines in these processes. They learn the concept of “Home Made” just the way Grandma used to do it! This is the first time this show has been in Vermont ! The concession charges a small fee for items at the sa-loon, otherwise all of the interactive shows are FREE!
